Hello Everyone!

     I wanted to write this newsletter to let you know of some of the events that we will be hosting in the near future. First off we have once again got Kathi Quinn of RNK (Floriani) coming to see us.  This time she will be in ROCK ISLAND . That's right Rock Island! I know it has been a while since we had an event held here, so I look forward to seeing all of you there. She will be here on Friday January 15 , 2010 from 5:30 to 8:30 educating us on the Floriani digitizing software as well as all the different stablizers and threads that Floriani has to offer. For those of you that have not attended one of these events it is loads of fun and very educational. Please be sure to sign up soon for we are running out of space and I would hate for anyone to miss out.   Cost is $10 and can be paid by credit card, cash or check when you register.  Call 319-358-0101, stop into one of the stores,  or email janshieldssewing@yahoo.com  to sign up.

 
     Our next event is our ever-popular Super Bowl Sale!! We will once again be having a HUGE Super Bowl Party in our Iowa City location on Sunday February 7,2010 from 12:00 to 5:00. Unfortunately due to space and time constraints we will not be able to host it in Rock Island ( I'm going to work on it for next year). For those of you that have attended this party, you know that this is the one day that you can get the best deals of the year on EVERYTHING from thread to machines!! Come join us for the savings, food, fun, and games!!!

      Next we have teamed up with a few different business in the Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty area to host the first annual Craft Crawl. This event will mirror what some of you may recognize as a Shop Hop. The big difference is that it is not just fabric, or beads , or other fun hobbies, it will combine all of these different activities . That way you will be able to walk in to some of these business as a first time customer and not feel intimidated because you may not know what they offer. This will take place during the week of February 20, 2010 thru February 27, 2010.Each store will provide a project and/or gift when you participate. It looks to be a fun and educational event.
