I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. I would also like to remind you all of our own PROJECT RUNWAY. Common Threads Quilt Shoppe and Shields Sewing Center have teamed up for our own version of Project Runway.

For those of you who are not familiar with the show Project Runway, Brother sewing machines sponsors a show that supports young designers. We would like to support anyone who has a sewing craft to share and also benefit Breast Cancer Research. Sunday, October 12, 2008 we will have a runway at Sycamore Mall in Iowa City where you can show off your wares from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.
